Network Engineer
Spencer & Trent Recruitment is working with an established IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Moorgate, who are seeking an experienced Network Engineer on a permanent basis. The Network Engineer will be involved in Systems Maintenance; 3rd Line Support and assisting with the delivery of various projects. You will be working from the central London office 3 days a week and 2 days from home.
Duties include:
- Work with technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Unify, FortiNet, IPv4, DHCP, DNS, WAN, and various network management tools
- Support a wide range of equipment, from data centre-grade infrastructure to in-office routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve incidents
- Carry out hardware upgrades and ensure systems run efficiently
- Manage and contribute to ongoing network-related projects
- Participate in an on-call support rota as required
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate network documentation
Experience needed:
- MSP / ISP Experience Highly Desirable
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Unify and FortiNet product ranges.
- CCNA Certified (on-course for CCNP)
- Strong knowledge of the OSI Model (All Layers)
- DHCP. DNS, IPv4, Switches and Firewalls
- Packet Capturing Tools
Salary and Benefits:
- £45,000 – £50,000 DOE
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- Monday to Friday only – 37.5 hours per week
