Spencer & Trent Recruitment is working with a FinTech startup based in Old Street who are seeking an experienced Senior Developer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will act as a rounded technologist to lead development on a range of different projects to greatly overhaul the organisation’s Data & AI functions. You will utilise data engineering skills for end-to-end development on a Microsoft tech stack. 

Duties include: 

• Leading the design and development of data and AI solutions across multiple projects, ensuring scalability and robustness
• Building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and platforms using Python and Azure technologies
• Overseeing data ingestion, transformation, modelling, and integration to support AI and analytics functions
• Collaborating with data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative AI products and features
• Implementing best practices for data governance, security, and performance within a cloud-first environment
• Evaluating and integrating emerging AI and Microsoft technologies to enhance the organisation’s capabilities
• Acting as a technical lead, line managing a team of 3 developers and guiding the overall engineering approach

Experience needed: 

• Extensive Data Engineering Skills
• Proven AI experience
• Python Expertise
• Azure / Microsoft Tech Stack
• Experience leading a team

Salary and Benefits: 

• £80,000 – £85,000 DOE 
• 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays  
• Monday to Friday only – 40 hours per week 
• Statutory Pension
