Spencer & Trent Recruitment is working with an award winning Architectural and build company that is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the business on a permanent basis. You will be working from the London City office 4 days a week and 1 day from home.

 

What will you be doing?

You will:

  • Manage and oversee the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Handle all purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Provide support to project management teams by assisting in the coordination and tracking of projects.
  • Liaise with accountants to ensure accurate financial records, compliance, and timely submission of financial statements.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment.
  • Assist with the production of quotes for new projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Help prepare fee proposals, payment schedules, financial forecasts, and accounts to support business planning.
  • Arrange and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
  • Check and settle invoices from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and service quality.
  • Support senior management with the coordination of construction schedules and programs to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Provide on-site support to construction teams to help with the smooth running of operations.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met and any concerns are promptly addressed.
  • Organise and schedule meetings with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of contracts to ensure compliance and protect the company’s interests.
  • Maintain accurate document control to ensure easy access and organisation of important project files.
  • Ensure the company complies with statutory obligations, including health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
  • Organise and manage training programs for the site teams to ensure they are up to date with required skills and certifications.
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and letters as required by the senior management team.
  • Support the senior team in business development activities, contributing to growth strategies and initiatives.

 

Experience needed:

  • Extensive experience in an Architecture and build environments.
  • Administration Management experience
  • Confident using the full range of MS programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and financial tasks
  • Thorough understanding of CIS and construction VAT
  • Experience with Xero and WorkFlowMax is highly beneficial
  • Familiarity with project management software Buildertrend also a plus

 

Salary and Benefits:

  • £58,000 – £62,000 DOE
  • 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Monday to Friday only – 40 hours per week
  • Excellent working environment and team
