Compliance Manager
Spencer & Trent Recruitment is working with a well-established financial services firm that is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join its expanding team based in Baker Street on a permanent basis. You will be working from the central London office 3 days a week and 1 day from home after training.
Duties include:
- Onboarding retail and corporate customers while conducting KYC and AML compliance checks
- Produce Client based risk assessments
- Act as a point of escalation for high-risk clients
- Ensuring that periodic reviews of existing clients are conducted
- Performing daily transaction monitoring and data validation
- Investigate and review transactions that have exceeded set thresholds
- Addressing ad-hoc queries from within the business on routine Compliance matters
- Provide support to the Compliance team on projects and queries along with requests from senior management
- Provide training sessions for non-compliance staff involved in client case submissions
- Assist the MLRO and deputy MLRO in preparing reports and case submissions
- Contribute to the preparation of the MLRO Annual report to management.
- Carry out periodic firm-wide risk assessments
- Carry out periodic GDPR/data protection audits within the firm
Experience needed:
- 5 years proven experience of Financial Crime Compliance
- Degree in law, finance, business administration or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., ICA) desirable
- Knowledge of AML legal requirements and controls
- Experience in onboarding and monitoring transactions for High-Risk customers.
- Familiarity with FCA Guidance and rule book and relevant publications e.g., JMLSG
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Attention to detail
Salary and Benefits:
- £55,000 – £62,000 DOE
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
