Financial Controller
Spencer & Trent Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious private equity firm looking to hire a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid setup, with three days in the London office and two days working from home.
Duties include:
- Preparing management accounts for the Directors and Management Committee, including budgets and forecasts while providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Handling compliance matters, including FCA returns and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborating with external auditors and managing the audit process.
- Involving in preparing agreements with clients across Europe and the USA.
- Managing VAT returns and ensuring timely submissions.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Managing expense payments.
Experience needed:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a financial controller role within Financial Services
- Must have strong knowledge of compliance regulations and experience with FCA returns
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is advantageous
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits:
- £65,000 – £70,000 DOE
- 28 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- Yearly Bonus
- Statutory Pension Scheme
- Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm – 40 hours per week
- Hybrid
