Tax Manager (Hedge Fund)
Spencer & Trent Recruitment is working with a leading Hedge fund that is seeking a Tax Manager to join their growing Tax team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be based in their central London office 3-4 days per week.
Duties include:
- Reviewing of direct and indirect tax returns prepared by service providers
- Liaising with internal teams and collating information required by services providers
- Maintaining a compliance calendar to ensure tax filing requirements and managing tax payments
- Assisting with transfer pricing matters including collating information
- Documenting tax risk and control processes for UK and international tax compliance obligations
- Monitoring international tax developments and other projects
- Ensuring that an effective tax documentation management system is maintained
- Providing support to the wider business by researching and liaising with service providers on tax advisory matters
- Managing the tax compliance budget, accruals and engagements
- Interacting with various other internal departments
- Assisting with employment tax related matters, including short-term business visitor reporting
Experience needed:
- 5+ years of experience in tax compliance and reporting within a Hedge Fund environment or in-house tax team
- Fully qualified (ACA, CTA or equivalent)
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Strong analytical skills and judgment
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and highly organised with a keen eye for detail
- Good computer skills including MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Salary and Benefits:
- £90,000 – £100,000 DOE
- Annual performance bonus
